The programme aims to train pre-service teachers to become professional teachers who are well-equipped with knowledge, pedagogical skills and the disposition to learn and guide their pupils to meet their learning needs.
The programme seeks to train teachers who will be able to teach all core subjects at the primary level and also specialize in one subject area at that level.
Christ the Teacher College of Education (CTCE) offers a 4-year Degree in the Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) that trains generalist teachers to teach both Primary and Junior High School pupils.
This program aims at achieving quality instruction necessary to meet contemporary teachers’ demands and expectations. This curriculum offers a new direction in training our basic school teachers, and ensuring that pupils receive quality education.
In addition to courses in Education, Practical Activities and General Studies, students will be expected to take at least seven foundation subjects.
